In collaboration with Alexander Building Company, we designed the Banner Physicians Gym to support staff wellness and work-life balance. Located within Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, this on-site gym provides medical professionals with a convenient space to recharge, exercise, and decompress. To create a retreat distinct from the hospital environment, we incorporated non-standard finishes and a calming lounge area, offering a place to reset before or after shifts.
With a uniquely shaped floor plan—two sharp triangles merged together—we maximized every inch to accommodate essential equipment while maintaining an open, functional flow. The result is a thoughtfully designed space that prioritizes both movement and restoration, reinforcing Banner Health’s commitment to staff
well-being.
